Open Edition vs Limited Edition Prints

Open edition prints can be reproduced indefinitely, which keeps prices accessible but limits long-term collectible value.

Limited editions cap the print run at a fixed number, usually signed and numbered, which supports scarcity and tends to hold or grow in value over time.

Neither is inherently better. Buy open editions for the work you love regardless of resale, and limited editions when you want to participate in an artist's early collectible market.
