Steve A Johnson's Color-First Paintings
These paintings do not ask you to find a face or a place. Blue, coral, orange, and white meet in thick, broken layers. The marks and color changes are the subject. Spend a moment with each image and you can see where one layer stops and another begins.
Can You Reuse These Paintings?
Johnson keeps a gallery that links these images to his name and original filenames. He says the paintings shown there are released under CC0. That means people can share and reuse the images. It does not make New Arte Gallery the painter or the seller of the original works.
